Villa Sonrisa is a beautiful, airy, modern Villa all on one level, surrounded by wonderful landscaped gardens with numerous ballustraded terraces and rock and plant features.
The large swimming pool has been designed around an existing palm tree and has curved Roman steps leading into a shallow area on one side of the palm tree good for paddling and playing. The other side of the palm tree and the far end are deeper and are therefore good for swimming 'lengths'!
The house is stylish and full of colourful paintings and unusual art features. ornaments, intricately painted lampshades etc.
The main lounge is large with comfortable modern seating and pine and rustic furniture. There is a CD/tape music centre and TV with Sky Satelite TV. A second, much smaller sitting room has a sofa-bed, TV and video and is ideal for children. Both have doors to the terrace. The children's sitting room is in just the right place for the parents to know that they are safe and within ear shot whilst they enjoy sun-downers on the terrace or linger over an alfresco dinner.
The dining room (almost unused due to the poolside dining terrace with it's large table and chairs!) is in the centre of the Villa and has large French doors leading through a stone archway on to the terrace.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc.
The grand master bedroom is decorated all in white with a little gold and is really lovely. The huge double bed is over 6 feet wide! There are French doors onto the swimming pool terrace. The second double bedroom is beautifully furnished and has a king size bed. The four bedrooms all have colour co-ordinated bed linen and curtains. There are new mattresses and pillows throughout.
There is one large bathroom and there are two shower rooms.
Location
Punta Grossa is a beautiful promontory on which a limited number of villas have been built. The pool and terraces are very private and are not overlooked.
The beach of Arenal d'en Castell is only 5 minutes walk as is the local shop (selling everything including fresh baked bread and croissants) and the local beach bar and restaurants with live music. There is also a chemist and English speaking doctor.
The Villa is half an hours drive from the Airport and the Capital Mahon. It is a short drive away from many small towns and villages, restaurants and beaches. For example, the Menorcan fishing village of Na Macaret is less than 5 minutes drive and offers a Spanish restaurant, an Italian restaurant and one excellent fish restaurant overlooking the small beach and harbour (one of our favourites!)
